Subsoil drainage is a specialised field. Walter Craig and Steve Greaves operate DeepEnd Drainage Ltd, installing Novaflow plastic drainage systems on agricultural land.
Developed out of Massey University’s drainage extension service, the operation originally gave farmers methods to turn wet soils into more productive farmland.
Over time the service became more commercial, and existing staff took on the operation as a private company
Close association with Massey continues and DeepEnd Drainage keeps up with current research and technology, including GPS, to design accurate drainage plans for individual properties, in catchment areas from Wanganui to Eketahuna.
